Hi everybody! I'm still alive and kicking here on DeviantArt! Lots of things have been happening to me recently.

SCHOOL:
I've applied to a few art schools. VanArts and Vancouver Film School have accepted me, Sheridan however did not accept my application and instead tried to get me into an Art Fundamentals course. >.> Despite best attempts, Sheridan was not much help to me, they've been a pain in the ass to contact and ask about information, their Director always seems to be away to a business trip and it was generally very frustrating.

VanArts and Vancouver Film School (VFS definitely) have been very VERY helpful to me in answering whatever questions I had for the course, financial information, etc. and in the end I chose Vancouver Film School after speaking with their Advisor and attending their information seminar and generally I feel very comfortable and confident with the course that I will be attending.

So by this fall I should be going back to school and doing Classical Animation *SQUEEE!* I'm so excited!

WEDDING:
I've got most of our plans for the wedding set. It's going to be a small one (about 50 people) my fiance and I will be married in the Supreme Court, then later on that day we'll be having our reception at the Charlottetown Legion Hall. I'm trying to keep this as small and low-key as I can. I've never had the "perfect wedding" in mind so planning this event was quite easy.

EVENTS:
I attended the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo again this year. Although I would have loved to been an exhibitioner again, I was too busy dealing with school applications and other real life issues to be able to get a table again but it was fun, and a bit more relaxing!

I got to meet Gavin Blair, he's one of the creators of Reboot (one of my favorite childhood cartoons!) and I got him to sign my Reboot Artbook. He was such a nice and awesome guy and he was quite happy to know that Reboot was one of my inspirations for an Animation career. I also attended the Reboot Panel they had going on and asked some questions. We also got to meet (if only briefly) Bruce Timm the creator of cartoons such as Batman: The Animation series, Justice League, etc. (Got the first season of Batman signed!)

Although we didn't get to meet him, we saw Sean Astin (Goonies, LOTR, Rudy) signing autographs at a table nearby while waiting for Bruce Timm. At one point he was 5 mins late for the panel he was supposed to be at but he was able to finish the autographs for the rest of the line that was waiting for him, instead of just running off and leaving them (what a nice guy!) After he finished about ten minutes later, he left the table and smiled at us as he walked by. If I was staying for another day I definitely would have loved to meet him personally.

ART PROJECTS:
Since I finished with the Art school applications I can finally say that I will be getting back to comic works and such. No updates on the Mikado Series as of yet (still working on storylines) but I am working on a graphic novel called "Do Onto You", a book that has a much different mood and genre than what I've done previously. I'll have more information within the next couple of months ;D

...Anyway, my fingers are tired. I'll give more information as soon as I can.
